This is a product from the Teams brand developed by members of the YOKOMO DRIFT team. One side of the piston's surface has a conical shape and the damping feel differs depending on the mounting direction.
It is possible to soften the rebound of the shock by placing the cone downwards and to soften the compression of the shock by placing the cone upwards.
Moreover, the piston holes are angled diagonally relative to the shock absorber's operational direction, and the damping changes in response to a sudden compression input due to fluid dynamics action, and the movement passes through the gap while being smooth in normal operation. Sometimes, this has the effect of suppressing disturbances in chassis behavior with a high damping force.
In the drift category, shock absorber settings are often adjusted to be soft, but if too fluid shock absorber oil is used, the oil will flow between the O-ring and the shock rod, affecting the shock absorber's operation. Therefore, this conical piston has a 6-hole design exclusively for drifting, which has more holes than usual, and it is easy to avoid running out of oil by using oil around # 300.
