S-CD500KS steering knuckle servo for 1/10 RC Drift – 1 piece

The Futaba S-CD500KS introduces a new steering architecture for 1/10 RWD RC Drift cars : the servo is directly integrated into the knuckle, eliminating traditional steering linkages.

This design eliminates steering variations caused by suspension movement (bump steer) while reducing the number of mechanical parts required. The system also ensures smooth operation, even at high steering angle.

Paired with the gyro Futaba GYD560 and a compatible radio system, the system allows the left and right servos to be adjusted electronically and independently. Neutral, endpoints, and Ackermann curves can notably be adjusted separately, with an Ackermann curve adjustable over 12 points on each side.

The S-CD500KS is compatible with UR and SR modes and operates at a voltage between 4.8 and 6.0 V.

Warning : this product contains only 1 knuckle servo. To fully equip the front end with one servo on the left and one servo on the right, it is necessary to order 2 S-CD500KS kits.

Use of the system requires :

The transmitter must have a function allowing mixing of two steering servos.

Two bearings are required per servo, for a total of 4 bearings to equip both sides.

To fully equip a vehicle, you need to order 2 S-CD500KS kits : one for the front left wheel and one for the front right wheel.

The ESC's BEC must be set to 6.0 V maximum. Do not use a 7.4 V BEC output, as it may damage the servo.

The wiring must be positioned so that it does not come into contact with the wheel. A damaged cable may cause a failure or a short circuit.

A slight buzzing may be audible when the servo is powered on ; according to Futaba, this phenomenon is normal.
