Lexan paint - PS31 smoke (tinted windows effect)

Painting Tamiya PS is a series of aerosol paintings specially formulated for the decoration of bodies of radio-controlled cars (RC) in polycarbonate. RC car models are often equipped with polycarbonate bodywork due to its resistance and flexibility, and paint Tamiya PS is designed to adhere to this surface while resisting cracks, scratches and impacts that can occur when using a RC car.

Here are some key characteristics of the paint Tamiya PS:

1. Specific formulation : Painting Tamiya PS is formulated to adhere specifically to polycarbonate surfaces. It is flexible and resists cracks, which is important for RC car bodywork which can be subjected to a lot of stress.
2. Variety of colors : The range Tamiya PS offers a wide variety of colors, allowing you to personalize your RC car as you wish. From bright metallic colors, there are many options to suit different tastes and styles of design.
3. Ease of use : Paintings Tamiya PS are provided in aerosol, which makes them easy to apply even for beginners. Just shake the can well, apply the paint in thin and uniform layers, and let it dry.
4. Sustainability : Painting Tamiya PS is designed to withstand the difficult conditions often encountered by RC cars, including impacts, scratches and weather conditions.

It should be noted that painting Tamiya PS is designed to be applied inside polycarbonate bodywork, to protect it from scratches and external damage. This is why the painting must be applied in thin and regular layers to obtain the best result.

Paint a RC car body with painting Tamiya PS requires some specific steps to ensure that the work is well done and to obtain the best possible result. Here is a step by step guide:

1. Preparation of the body: Before you start painting, it is important to prepare the bodywork well. This includes cleaning the surface with soapy water to remove any dirt or oil. After cleaning, let the body dry completely.

2. Masking: Use masking tape to cover the parts of the body that you don't want to paint. This can be particularly important if you plan to use several colors or if you want to create a specific design.

3. Application of painting: Apply the paint only by inside the body to give it a shiny appearance by transparency with the Lexan. Shake the paint can Tamiya PS before applying it. Keep the can about 30 cm from the surface and apply the paint in thin standard layers. It is generally preferable to apply several thin layers rather than a single thick layer to obtain a smooth and uniform finish.

4. Drying: Let the paint dry completely between each layer. The drying time can vary depending on the temperature and humidity, but it is generally recommended to let the paint dry for at least 24 hours before applying another layer.

5. Removal of the masking: Once all the layers of paint have been applied and are completely dry, gently remove the masking tape.

6. Finish: After removing the masking tape, check the body to make sure that the painting is well applied and that there are no faults. All you have to do is remove the external protective film and discover the shine of your bodywork

Do not forget, it is always better to work in a well -ventilated place when using paint aerosols for safety and health.
