Wheel adjustment advice

By adjusting the hardness of the wheels, it is possible to easily modify the grip balance between the front and the rear of the vehicle without changing the machine settings.

• Increase the grip at the front : Trend to surveillance (better turn capacity, the rear slides more).

• Increase the grip at the back : Trend to understeer (reduction in turn capacity, the rear slides less).

These adjustments make it possible to refine the driving characteristics according to the conditions of the surface and the desired pilot style.

THE Drift Hayate wheels are designed with particular attention to provide optimal performance on asphalt and carpet surfaces. The 18.5 mm position from the inside of the wheel to the hub contact surface is defined as "zero offset" (or "offset"). The offset is indicated according to this reference.

For example, for a wheel with a Deport of +6, the hub contact surface is positioned 6 mm inward compared to the reference point, which moves the wheel outwards, thus increasing the chassis track width. By adjusting the offset value, you can not only perfectly align your wheels with the vehicle wings, but also modify the driving characteristics by playing on the track width.

The wheels N-Type are designed with a stitch of the rays located near the center of the bearing surface. Thanks to this design, the load is uniformly distributed over the bearing surface, regardless of the value of the offset.
